Dear Fellow Yangsters,

Michael was complicit in putting the motor into the van - it really ought to be quite a bit more peppy now don't you think?

Best regards,

Robert

Dear Michael,

What else would you expect from and old Mini and Moke owner? By the way the sound might be a bit different also.

Best regards,

We need pictures... Also, did you happen to mount it in a mid-engine configuration for improved handling?

Ought to be more interesting than the original 2.2 versions in the 1980's.

Hey, I've got a Chrysler mini-van that can use some more horsepower. Does the Admiral have an extra engine along with installation instructions?

Those 2.2s were actually sound effects machines. The harder you pressed on the pedal, the louder the sound effect, nothing else.

Dear Yangsters,

Installaton is a piece of cake. All it takes is Bryan and Michael plus about six guys going off shift from a local sports pub. We were going to worry about the exhaust system and which mufflers to use but since the exhaust ports are already facing aft and they are already close to the rear of the mininvan we thouhgt that they would be as effective that way as any other. At nighttime I would expect a spectacular visual effect. Rigging the chain drive to a new rear axle is next.

Kerry, you may buy a new one from Classiche one of these days.

Tom, you are right about the sound effects machines, had a Pinto like that once - evey stop light risked a ticket for failure to cross an intersecton before the light changed. A Garrett turbo heped change that.

My mini-van is all wheel drive. That will make connecting the chain much easier. Let's try the final installation on it.

see the four big eyelets in the wooden base? we slid iron bars through them so that two guys on either side could carry it. It was kind of like the ark of the covenant in Raiders of the Lost Ark. "Don't look directly at the ark!! AAAHHHHH!"

And as his followers have come to expect, the Admiral has already thought about controlling the "wheelies" from all this new found chain coupled torque!
