getting together at Quail

Post by Steve Meltzer »

Anyone want to set a time/place to meet at Quail? Not sure what my plans are for Thrs nite, so can't be certain I'll meet those of you who've been so helpful, at Tom's party. My friend John Dillman and I'll be there pretty much first thing Thrs AM. steve meltzer (and no, I won't be wearng any gold chains, unless Target has a sale on them this weekend!)

Hi Steve,

I would love to set a time and a place to meet. I think xs10shl (Tom K) is showing a car at Quail, and we can meet in front of his car at a specific time. Also, if Tom Shaughnessy has a booth, we can descend on his place as well. I say, maybe 11 am? We should all try to meet there even if you've already met at the party the night before to put some more names to faces.

How about we meet at Shaughnessy's booth at 11 am. He can check our pockets for spare parts when we leave.

Tom

P.S. If anyone needs my cell number to meet another time, PM me.

11AM it is, at Tom's resto tent. (And I apologize for the mistake of thinking The Quail was Thrs AM...it's Friday AM. Such a lapse in memory might first be ascribed to old age, but I think it was the nice bottle of Catena Malbec my wife and I shared.)

I'm about half way through the reinstall of the engine in my '67 'Vette.
Mysteriously, I have a number of excess parts which I plan to trade "even up" to Shaugnessy for rare 330GTC parts. So, instead of wearing a gold chain, I'll wear something more valuable, like a SBC double link timing chain.

Massive assault on Shaughnessy's tent at 11AM.
This is going to be good...

Just follow the trails of cigar smoke to find it.

Tom,

That sounds like a great plan. I'm going straight for the tools and jacks
he has. There are so many, he won't even know that the're gone!

See you there.

Thomas,

No such word as "eminient". You meant "imminent".

Clearly you will need me there to correct your grammar
so everyone can understand what it is you are trying to say!
We can start with single syllable words and go from there...

I'll be looking for the SA tool kit you have.

Best,

Yes, Pratt has trained you well in 'new mathematics'.
I'll bring the adding machine...
