I also need to give a hat-tip to Shaughnessy for coming up with exceedlingly rare tools for a mid-fifties race car.
In fairness to Bayer, we spent the "dawn patrol" hours in scruffy clothes getting the car cleaned up. Tom's pic is after the wardrobe change. . . .

Dear Yangsters,
I know that many of you were able to see the car on the 18th fairway at Pebble Beach but I have had many requests from folks who were not able to make the sojourn to California asking when they would be able to see the car. My little workshop is not big enough to handle any sort of a crowd so we have decided to have an Open House to view the car at Ferrari of Washington. Details follow:
RADM and Mrs. Robert Phillips and Ferrari Of Washington
Open House
Saturday, 20 September from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
45235 Towlern Place, Sterling, VA
featuring the 1955 500 Mondial Series II
2008 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance
winner of
1st in Class M-2 (Competition Ferraris)
and
Enzo Ferrari Trophy for Best Ferrari in the field
Hope to see you there.
Best regards,
Robert

Dear Jim,
Great, will be good to see you at the Open House, plus you can converse with Bryan in 365GT2+2 lingo.
Tom, Congratulations on the trophy at Lime Rock, see - good things do happen to good people. By the way since you are not coming to the open house I guess that means I can scrub off your finger prints from your helpful Mondial push on the 18th fairway at Pebble Beach.
Enjoy Goodwood.
Best regards,
Robert

Hi Admiral,
I almost felt bad for a couple and their very nice 356B coupe parked next to me. They were there to win something, and didn't win any award. If I hadn't changed my mind, they might have gone home with something!
It was very stressful trying to find a safe place to push without denting the aluminum. I'm glad I didn't do any damage!
Have a great party!
Tom
