One of the airhorns on my Boxer is off. The compressor is putting out plenty of air and is well oiled. One of the horns is great but the other is weak and puny. This is intermittant. There are no restrictions in the line.
I was reading that sometimes gunk or excess oil can accumulate on the diaphram and cause this condition. I was wondering if there was a way to open the plate behind the horn to expost the diaphram and clean them or would a blast of compressed air do the trick?
Google (-> picture search) is a powerful tool for finding out the meaning of almost anything. It's always great fun to use company and product names to confuse people :o)
What kind of oil should be used to lubricate the air compressor component of the horns? Do the horns themselves require some sort of lubrication? Did you decide whether to try to clean them out with an shot of compressed air?
