Very nice Tom and thanks for sharing. The lack of comfort items in your car made me think also of the coast to coast trip the blue Modial took many years ago with the Admiral at the wheel. Sounds like the Tour was the icing on your Ferrari cake. Congrats,Mike

Dear Yangsters,

Tom's description of that great event is so very well done that the reader comes away with a good sense of what driving these early cars was all about. And yes Mike, while reading Tom's story, I did recall driving through that blizzard some 45 years ago crossing the continental divide on those skinny hard racing tires in a mild panic as I watched the oil temp gauge drop. The big difference is that Tom thought ahead and had contingency plans and spares. I had neither.

Good job Tom.

Best regards,

Robert

Tom S. wrote all that? Not bad, not bad at all...
Reminds me of when I used to drive the California Mille rallye.
Great fun!

Hi Tom,

nice write-up.

A good friend of mine has done the Colorado Grand the last several years and talks very highly of this event. He has told me many cool stories about it and says its a great event to learn all about about your car. I wish I had a 1950's Ferrari or other period car to participate!!!!

A great event.
