Well, I have tried to drag a few of you guys to the party...

John - Did you need to replace the other components of the shock or were they still usable? If not, where did you get them? Was it difficult to do?

The piston and bore were fine- Koni updates the piston to the new teflon coated one whenever they do a rebuild (even if the old one is fine).

As far as the other parts, I replaced the bushings, shaft seals and the oil. I made all the seals/bushings out of rubber I got from McMaster Carr - they were very basic and punched some and turned some on the lathe. It wasn't especially difficult.
