Let's hope that's the one you need. If it brings any peace of mind, the lack of response owed not to apathy, rather - fruitless searches. As I am sure is true for others within this Forum, I gladly donated time turning over the stones along the info highway in an effort to help locate one. Doing so has the side benefit of educating the searcher on all-things-Vintage-Ferrari, so the time was well spent.

In fact, that was how I found Tom Yang's site, while out-and-about looking for a (since found) part for another person on another board. Ironically, after noting Tom needed a shifter boot seal, I emailed him suggesting he join another Forum I'm in, without realizing he hosted his own! Doh!

Since that time, I've read every bit of his restoration project, and am all the better for it.

How did you find the part?

in @#$% ANCHORAGE ALASKA!!!!!
(at least that's what DHL's tracking told me
when itdid not show up here)

must have made a wrong turn in Seattle
and gone North to ALASKA
instead of here to OREGON

oh well, I was kinda busy this weekend

got the lens today
FINALLY

is is pretty good shape
MUCH better than my current one
so I am not going to complain

not easy finding it
that is for sure

to find this particular part
I did the usual 'google' search
400i+parking+lens,
400i+lens
etc, etc, etc.
but came up empty handed

then it struck me
to try ferrari+spares
as that is what they call 'parts' = spares
'over there'

this yielded several sources in the UK;
some that I was unaware of...
I got the feeling I was on the right track

I then spotted a 'front indicator' for 400i
listed @ eurospares.co.uk
as in front TURN indicator?
is that how they refer to this part?
pant pant

as this was on friday pm
I had to wait until mon am
to give them a call
(long wait)
to find out if this indeed was the part

not only was it the part i wanted,
it was the LH SIDE!!!
I'll TAKE IT

I think the reason that
I was able to score this part
is the way it was listed
(in a somewhat esoteric fashion)
so that it was not readily apparent
to the 'casual' buyer

took some diggin
that's for shure

Guess that means a certain other thread needs to be renamed "spares", heh.

Well done, fest.

My impression is Ferrari of Uk has mostly hard parts and not hood cover type things but I will try them. Thanks. Yale
