330 GTC Rear Suspension Bushings?

Post by mcmichael »

Well, I got my 330 GTC running again. It has A LOT more power! Just a matter of getting the valve lash, cam timing, ignition timing and carb sync as close to spec as possible. Driving it, everybody agrees it is MUCH faster. An absolute blast to drive!

Now, the thing you notice driving is the rear end walking around. I think it's going to toe-out on acceleration. Actually, I know it has static toe-out in the right rear, and they're both going even further under hard acceleration. For the short term (before the Concorso Italiano) I'm going to give it more rear toe-in by simply moving shims around. I had it on an alignment rack a few months ago, and I can calculate the difference the shims will make.

Long term, I guess I should replace the rear suspension bushes. Have any of you done this recently? What about parts? Are there any alternative sources for bushes? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Michael Mcclure
