330 Valve specs

Post by tyang »

Hello All,

So I've decided to replace all the valves on my 330 engine, but I've been having some trouble finding valve specs. So far, I've found these pages out of the 330 GT 2+2 Service Manual:

I want to research the cost of buying aftermarket valves from a reputable valve manufacturer, but need to provide standard specs for them to cross reference their stock. The two measurements that are not included in these drawings are the margin width, and the total length of the valve.

If anyone has any advice on suppliers, and or specs, I would love to hear from you. From my understanding, there is no need to buy "Ferrari" valves (if they're even available for a 330), and after market stainless valves are more than capable as a replacement.

Thanks!

Hi Tom:

Charlie Pearson "made" stainless valves for mine when it was rebuilt. He would have the dimensions. He also gave me a couple spares. You could contact him, and also I could send you one as an example.

Hi Warren,

We're going to order some custom valves, and interpolate some of the measurements that are not in the shop manual. I'd be curious what measurements your replacement valves have.

Hi Tom:

Sorry for the delay in replying- have been off line for a bit:

The guy who made (or had made?) my stainless valves is:
Charlie Pearson - 484 432 3160 He was recommended to me by Tim Stamford and is an ex-12 Cylinder specialist at Algar.
