330 GTO "Recreation" (#6689) on eBay

Post by Mike G. »

This is actually about the 4th time he's posted it on ebay. From the pictures, it looks like he had it at Cavallino earlier this year. It seems to be accurate, I wonder why it hasn't sold yet?

Why it hasn't sold?

Because they were asking 215K in 2001 and the highest any of the ebay auctions has come up with is 140K.

For more history, look at http://www.parrotbyte.com/330GTRegistry/?6689

Interesting, looks like it sold for $126,000 in early 1999. I would've thought a good GTO recreation would be worth more than that.

Did you notice that it doesn't have the cover clips for the front air intakes?

There are so many details wrong with this car ... no wonder it is not selling, and again defends my position about how I hate people doing this crap to original Ferraris.

That car looks about as close to a real GTO as a Datsun replica. It does not even have the correct exhaust details ... is missing a body seam from the door opening to the rear window and the overall body shape is NOT right.

Thus a Genuine Ferrari has been turned into a piece of sh!t.

What a waste ... if they cannot even bother to get the easy details right, God only knows how bad the rest of the car is ...

Okay, I hereby retract my statment "good GTO recreation" and replace it with "crappy GTO recreation".

I'm very anti these sort of replicas, as you will have noticed :)
