Does anybody know when alternators were installed on Lusso's instead of generators? 4437 has had a Delco installed at some point, and the original has disappeared into the mists of time.

You may look into the Miska book. It may say something about this? Tom Sh'y or Mike Dunn are also good resource.

John, Some say but not confirmed, it was only the very late Lussos. To be sure get the data sheets on a Lusso that actually was built with a Marelli alternator and go from there. Roush has quite a few data sheets on file, try him. A Delco is a no no. There is a Lusso Marelli generator on eBay now.
