Abarth vs.Ansa Exhaust?

Could someone summarize which exhaust system was stock on which cars (excluding of course the competition and special systems)

Warren, my Lusso 4537, has original the Abarth system. Only the factory data sheets can give a true picture of what was original. Jim

In gereral, Ferrari used Abarth until switching to ANSA with the introduction of the GTE.

An old FAF catalog shows ANSA systems for both a 250 SWB and Lusso. Both state that extensive modifications are required to make them fit.

These modifications started with David Seielstad who fit them to his SWB (2243) and Lusso (5223).

When I was looking at fitting the NOS GTE system that came with my PF coupe, I asked David for information. He sent me these pictures:

As you can see, the various new pieces were laid on top or next to the original Abarth Lusso exhaust.

For my coupe, I am getting one made by David Carte that fits the 508D chassis.

The PF Coupe exhaust (original Abarth) that I'm hanging as we speak (I'm on lunch) hangs differently than the ANSAs I've worked with. Some of the mounts come through the center of the two pipes, as the ANSA use tabs all mounted on the outside. I'm sure that will affect alignment with the car when it's hung.

If I get a chance, I'll take some pictures.
