Vintage Ashtray Repair

Post by onyxco »

I realize that this is a fairly trivial topic but I could sure use some help.
I have attached a few photos of the broken ashtray clasp off my 330. I am trying to figure out what the missing portion of the clasp should look like in order to latch. A photo would be great.
Thank You

Hi Mike,

Sometimes the latch button gets bent by having it pushed too far down and does not move the catch to release the lid.

In Mike's case, the tab has been broken. Here's what mine looks like.
