GTE model cars

Post by 330GT »

RGM in Germany has commissioned 2 new GTE models from BBR. One, SN 3585 (http://www.rgm-modelcars.com/product_in ... cts_id=265) is metallic red while the other, SN unspecified (http://www.rgm-modelcars.com/product_in ... cts_id=264) is peal white.

They will be coming out with 4 330 GT single headlight models shortly, one of which is Lowell Brown's (SN 8855).

Man, they are not cheap! However, BBR does make a nice model. If anybody gets one, let me know. I would like some photos for my site.

Could you email me some photos? I could use front, rear and both sides for the site.

Is BBR and Italian company?

To the best of my knowledge, they make four GTE models. The two Kerry mentioned, R52A, a Silver GTE and KIT29, a kit of the GTE Police Car. It would be interesting to know if they have others, as the two Kerry mentioned are not on their web site. Maybe more they don't list?

The base is a prototype (1895 & 1903) as it has low mounter blinkers and no fender vents, which makes "3585" appear a little strange. 1903 was white with red interior, so that one is about right. Best wishes, Kare

Kare, I think, my BBR (ice blue metallic) is 2043GT, also with lower mounted blinkers and no fender vents. Or is it 3197GT ? - only because of the colour

Wow, love that interior! I might have to consider that green dash for my car... Hey , maybe this is the restoration project Tom Y has been looking for!

The exterior color is pretty close to my car (Argento Auteuil 106-E-1 taken from 275 color chart in 1966). But my interior is red...

The new Pearl White BBR model has a red interior (yeah, I caved and bought it), as does their kit police car. Do the rest have Tan interiors?

Besters: If your Silver on Tan 1/43 scale model says "Ferrari 250 GTE 2+2", "Made in China" and "1/43" on the bottom, it is made by IXO. I think it is the official GTE model of Ferrari. Neither the box nor the car say IXO, but Ferrari trademark language covers every free inch of the packaging. By the way, if you ever buy any other GTE toys on eBay, shoot me an email and I won't bid against you next time! Actually, it looked like a bunch of us were involved in that auction...

Anybody else have any models or other collectibles for the GTE? Here is the stuff that I know about: http://ferrari250gte.com/resources/coll ... /index.php
