365 gt 2+2

Post by mark »

Greetings All:

I am replacing engine mounts, therefore I have removed the headers and associated hardware to get there. The starter heat shield came off with the right side header. Mine is bare aluminum, is that the correct finish?

Hi Tom:

I bought them from gt parts, and they fit just fine. Am I missing something? Are they suppose to have a computer chip or a good house keeping seal?

Is Your question referring to engine mount, header or heat shield ?

Hi Timo:

I want to know what the correct finish for the heat shield should be.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Mark,

I left mine bare aluminum, not that has anything to do with what might me correct. It's a piece that's buried under the exhaust headers, and under the heat shields, so good luck to the judge that is able to spot it at some show!
