Thanks everyone! Tom Kizer, Richard had to do alot of tweaking to get the exhaust to fit, so it wouldnt surprise me if he had to tweak the hangers too (but I am not absolutely sure)- but it sounds great!

Dan,

Where did you source the grey hood pad for your engine compartment? I am looking for the proper one for my GTC. I have shaken many trees but haven't found the exact thing. It has to be heat resistant or it would wrinkle. I have not been able to find the smooth silver grey colour either. I carry a small sample cut from my old original one so I can match it up with anything I might come across. Everything I have found has the mottled appearance much like the material used on the Daytonas.

Hi Clem,

We sourced the material from (I believe Re-originals) and we had an upholsterer stitch the diamond pattern correctly based on our original pad,

Dan, car looks very nice.....

Question - are the carb intake manifolds painted the same color as the engine or are they natural alum color?

Hi Ed,

I believe they are natural alum. We only painted parts that were originally painted- We tried to be as authentic as possible,

I believe that they should be painted silver, same as the block, etc.

Painted. Krylon Dull Aluminum or silver is the color that looks the best to me. It's not too shiny.
