Know Your Yangsters
After meeting with a bunch of the gang at Cavallino, it made me realize how nice it is to put a face to a name. Though no substitute for sitting down face to face and making them buy you a beer, I thought some photos I took at the Classic might be nice.
Please add photos of yourself with your car!
Tom Yang (tyang)– Our fearless leader and reason for finding each other in the first place. Note to Cavallino presenters and folks have not met him; though it looks like “Yang”, his name is pronounced “Young”. Mark Dempsey (mdempsey) – Mark drove his Queen all the way from Maryland to Palm Beach for this event. Has the coolest beer stein on the site and knows four words of French. Tom Kizer (tomkizer)– Tom brought his Queen down from Quebec and drove it from Maryland. He received a well deserved Platinum award for his car. Ask him and he will be happy to tell you all about it in French.

Re: Know Your Yangsters
Alan Boe – Alan was a speaker in two of the lectures and kept us honest with his encyclopedic knowledge of Ferrari History.
Yvo Alexander – While Yvo could bring neither his GTE nor his girl from the Netherlands, he made do with what was available.
Sam Hallowell (sam231) – Sam couldn’t bring his 365 GTC/4, but he did bring his daughter Sarah.

Re: Know Your Yangsters
Ron Gaeta – This beautiful young lady brought her GTE to Cavallino, but lacking a learners permit, opted to have her father, Ron (rgbdvm) drive instead.
Gary and Susie Hiniker (gth1) – Brought their GTE which is nearing the end of an excellent restoration.
Frank Mollo – I don’t think Frank is on the site yet, but he sounds like he will be soon. He brought his very early GTE, which has some unusual features.

Re: Know Your Yangsters
Scott Oshry (scott oshry) and Zac Dugger (zac) – Scott (left) brought his GTE which was the first production car of the run and with the help of Zac’s (right) restoration, took a bunch of big awards this week.
Bill Preston (bill preston) – This happy gentleman maintains the Ferrari 250 GTE Register and writes its newsletter. If you don’t currently subscribe, you should…
Art Taxman (art taxman) – Art lives in Palm Beach, so had an easier time driving his car to the show than some.

Re: Know Your Yangsters
Bob Weiner – Bob has held or is holding pretty much every office in the Southwest chapter of the FCA and has this beautiful blue GTE to use in its events.
Tom Wilson (tom wilson) & Peter Perry (PeterP) – Since neither I (left) nor Peter (right) could bring Ferrari's, we decided to pretend that this wonderful PF Coupe was ours.
Re: Know Your Yangsters
Great idea Tom. They say there is a first time for everything !!! By the way please change your tag from:
Tom Wilson - Series III 250 GTE, SN 4247 To Tom Wilson - Series III 250 GTE, SN 4247 IN MANY MANY BITS
www.Ferrari250GTE.com www.Ferrari250GTE.com
Otherwise people might think you actually have a Ferrari that can be driven.
Glad you had a great time at Cavellino. I should join you next year. Maybe we could drive your GTE accross from LA, ha ha.
Cheers
John

Re: Know Your Yangsters
I'm up for the drive John. You could carry a couple of boxes, I could carry a couple of boxes... Get a couple dozen more folks in a convoy and 4247 would be at Cavallino!

2 good ideas one after another. Your on a roll. Check out the Cavallino regulations. Does it say anywhere that cars have to be assembled for display !!!??? If not, why not display 4247 as a pile of parts on the lawn outside the Breakers ?? Now that would be cool. Sort of like a before and after shot. Every other GTE could be the after and you could be the before.

This is me Bill Tracy (BT) getting ready to do some unofficial track driving in my Ginetta. Sadly, I sold my Ferrari 348ts in May.

Re: Know Your Yangsters
Somehow I managed to miss taking a picture of Todd (william) and Angie Hudkins, in spite of spending a lot of time with them. Fortunately, they sent me one to post.
