What model/size brake calipers are on a 365GTC front/rear? I need to get rebuild kits.
Rutlands has them on special order, just wanted to see if there were other options.
365 GTC brake calipers
Re: 365 GTC brake calipers
They are ATE calipers, but off hand I do not know of what common vehicles also used them.I am pretty sure they are not dual feed like a Daytona. Sorry, best that I can do for now. Call Bill Young at GT Car Parts in Phoenix.
Re: 365 GTC brake calipers
GT Car Parts has the kits, I have done them recently. They also cross over to same year Mercedes sedan but not worth it cause GT is the same cost. New stainless brake pistons are available from a guy back east( name escapes me but I have it at the shop). Biggest issue is the square o-rings between the caliper halfs, I was given some with the last one I did otherwise I don't know where to get them. You can also save a ton of money on the e-brake shoes and hardware buying a kit for a BMW 535, exactly the same stuff for 1/10 the price. My favorite car enjoy.

Re: 365 GTC brake calipers
There are Wilwood brake setups for jaguar that I have heard will work for our cars as well. Here are a couple of complete kits:

Re: 365 GTC brake calipers
Thanks for the information guys. The calipers are apart and the pistons are not pitted, but the rears have surface rust in the cup. Are these typically just bare metal? I was thinking of thowing them into the ultrasonic cleaner using a descalar to get them clean but I don't want to ruin any surface coating that may be on there.
Also the caliper halves appear to have been painted silver insted of plated. Does this sound right?
Unfortunately my kit did not come with the tiny square o rings so I may attempt to re use the existing ones and prey.
