Another seal question
On my 330 I need to replace the fuel filter (near the fuel tank) canister O ring that seals the can in the housing. Does anyone have one out that you could give me the measurements so I can find a replacement? Thanks in advance! M

Yes, the original ones are square seals. When putting things together, make sure surfaces are VERY clean without surface imperfections. It's a real PITA if you find a leak after everything is put back together and you have a tank full of fuel!
Don't forget the copper or aluminum washer at the bolt that tightens the canister to the filter body.

no it's not a 4x7 rectangle, it is a 4 x 3.5 rectangle, the 7 mm is taking both sides into account.

Rithmatick is not the strong point of the Neanderthals on this site. They just barely can tie their own shoe laces. That is why so many of them wear slip on shoes. They claim it is for comfort but we know better.Al Pezzella wrote:no it's not a 4x7 rectangle, it is a 4 x 3.5 rectangle, the 7 mm is taking both sides into account.

But they ARE comfy!
Michael fitted one new pump, and then another when it turned out the first one wasn't functioning properly out of the box. But the second one didn't seem to be working either . . .
Michael, do you want me to finish this story, or shall I let you???

BrianP You really know how to hurt a guy, this was such a total rookie error on my part. After going through filter, pressure regulator, insuring the pick up tube was not split, replacing the electric pump (new sticker from Parker)s and all the fittings and still no fuel flow I suddenly realized that my 1/2 tank of gas may not have been, so I repowered the instruments and tapped the gauge and it instantly dropped to.....below R.....NO #$@*GAS thus re-provingOccam's Razor. Oh well, as an addition to my embarassment I do have a spiffy all renewed fuel system. Tom the manual pump rebuild kit was $225.00, the electric (a perfect match)was $90.00 from Pegasus Auto. M

You know that's just not true. The DC boys are like that in the middle of winter. Their motto is "Who needs to be smart, when we have hammers !"

1. The DC boys like Banjo music?
2. That DC is very close to the Smokey Mountains?
3. The DC boys favourite movie is a Burt Reynolds canoeing movie?
4. The DC boys seem over friendly with their cousins?
Once you understand that then Michael "Billy Joe Bob" Bayer's use of a hammer on perfectly good Ferrari parts instead of checking the gas gauge is understandable. Of course he is always aided and abetted by his mate Bryan "Bubba" Phillips who has a tool chest full of hammers for every occasion.
Sorry guys, I'm just bored and thought I needed a good laugh. We all have a bit of schadenfreude in us.
Cheers John
