Ann Arbor holds a very eclectic car show called Rolling Sculpture, usually on a Friday in July. If you are going to be in Ann Arbor around that time, it is worth looking up that year's date. Basically you get to see 200 - 400 interesting cars of every shape and description, including: pre-war Meadowbrook Concours winners, exotics, race cars, muscle cars, all the standard sports cars, interesting European and Japanese models, mini cars, modifieds of all types, old commercial vehicles, prototypes and show cars, and cars that have been in families for many years.
A reporter who sometimes writes for Automobile magazine did some stories this year for our online newspaper AnnArbor.com and my car got some nice coverage.

By way of contrast across the street from me, a local supermarket employee brought her unrestored 1961 Chevy that she bought new - sitting right behind a rare 1920s car of a type that was in her family when she was a child. Just down the street from me was a Corvair with an open mid-mounted V-8, probably insane to drive, but fun to see. Near it was a stunning "chopped and channeled" 1960s Buick Riviera.
