Fellow Ferrari Fans,
Is the original color of a 330 indicated anywhere on the car’s build sheet? On my build sheet, the entered information is legible, but the block titles often are not. However, there is nothing entered that is clearly a color indication. The car, not counting the fact that all the paint is currently stripped, is now an even (not bright, not dark) red with black interior. I believe this is the original general color combination, although I do not recall how I arrived at this conclusion.
I looked at Kerry Chesbro’s site and that seems to indicate the red for late 1966 (1967 production) is a bright red (chip 99, Ditzler code 71508).
BTW, 9129 is lacking only the engine, which is going back together as I write this, and the paint. I understand that the back end was hit and poorly repaired, so there may be some body work required before the paint. I will have a highly-recommended shop in Muskogee do the upholstery after I get the car back.

Re: Paint
No, it's not on the build sheet.
The easiest way to obtain the original paint and leather colors is to register your car with the Ferrari Owner's site (http://www.ferrari.com/English/Pages/lo ... /Home.aspx). Once registered, check back in a week or so and usually the original colors will be shown.

Re: Paint
Kerry,
Thanks for the information.
I registered on the Ferrari owners’ site a few years ago. That’s how I managed to get the build sheet for my car.
I visited the site after your response, above, but all I can access is the usual factory fluff and nothing related to 9129. Can you offer some detailed instructions on getting to the information on my car? Thanks.

Re: Paint
Once you login, click on the "My Ferrari" link at the very top middle. That should take you to a page about your car. If you have multiple cars registered, there is a link to "My Garage" on about the 3rd menu line down.
Didn't you request a heritage certificate at the same time you got the build sheet? It has the original colors on it.
