Anybody see one of these before?
Re: Anybody see one of these before?
I think we may have discussed this before, but anyway: the plug looks and feels very old fashioned, so my guess is it goes back into 20's or 30's when cigarette lighters were rare and didn't obey any standards so they could not be used as power output. Cigarette lighter finally killed it, but Fiat stubbornly kept installing the socket until late 70's - at least.

Which kind of plug fitts in the org. BRICO CIGARETTE lighter Kare ?
the earlier F-cars before 1958 did usually have a SIGAR lighter.
this sigarlighter is compatible with the normal electricplugs on the market
well thats my guess.

Re: Anybody see one of these before?
I have no idea. I just know that standardization of cigarette ligters have failed til this day. Falcos is Italian and correct for many Italian cars of the 60's-70's. Remote copies are still being made in China, illumination ring (100% identical) and Italian electric connector prove the DNA. I am not familiar with Brico, but Lancias in 70's had very similar looking Falcos lighters... So might belong to anything built around that time. Very nice to have a new one with the tax marker still on.

Kare ,there is no adopter to put in the Brico Pram Cigarette lighter simply why it cannot work.kare wrote:I have no idea. You must pull back the blackring to activate it. after a few sec, it springs back. and did give the cigarettte a light .
Thats probebly the reason they put an other electric connection possibility under the dash.
Or you had to replace the cigarette lighter by an cigarlighter.
the Brico Pram was standard on most 1960th Ferraris.
This seems logic to me.
problem solved ?

O.K. Here's another neat detail I've never seen before. A rubber boot around the starter wiring.

Hi Tom,
My 330GT 2+2 came with the same boot, although it was not in as good a condition as the one you pictured. I made a crude mold make a replacement but couldn`t get the correct durometer rubber for its replacement. I think I have seen simular boots offered some place but dont remember where. I think it would be a good thing to have on any car whether original or not.

Go to any junkyard and pull one out of any Fiat.

Oh, I thought "Giovanni" was in Italy. But you can always go to Ebay. See item 350371551272 for example. I'm sure that would fit as the boot is stretched over two terminals on the starter.
