Zac,

You're probably one of the few people who understand how tenuous this deal was!

I'm glad it's safely in our possession, and the "real" work can be done.

Thanks!

Way to go Tom! This has been a long haul, but I am glad you pulled it off. It will be nice to save such a time capsule of a car. Does this mean "Ferrari Friday's" are back?

This is SO AWESOME. I always wondered how it was like watching your America from "entry one". Now, I'll know.

A suggestion: Bandwidths have increased a lot since you first started this site. One or two sizes up in picture size? Your videos are a win and production quality is very good.

Have a blast, Tom! :D

Well done Tom and Michael, your patience paid off. I am sure you enjoyed meeting with Carlo. He admired 1747 when we took it for runs at SIR with the Alfa Club and FCA. Is that color the same as on 1747?

Take care,

Hi Koll,

I might make them a little bit bigger, but with well over 1000 entries on this website and thousands of images, I'm at over 3gigs of server space!

I'm glad you like the videos. It's been good not to throw away the skill sets I had from my previous career!

Yes, 2259 has the same paint color as 1747. I hope to get a picture of the two cars parked next to each other next week before I send the PF Coupe to Florida. There must be some kind of preservative effect of the Pacific Northwest as both of these cars came from that region!

Carlo was a pleasure to meet, and I hope to remain friends into the future. A true gentleman, and a man of his word.

Good to hear that another one is safe from the breakers and recreationists. Full marks for patience and perseverence, Tom. From the photos, and the age at park-up, it seems the car is very complete - a big help.

Assuming this is the same car we talked about at dinner in Monterey last year, it's been in play for quite some time. Congratulations on landing it.

Thanks everyone for the support.

This one was definitely worth saving and preserving. I occasionally will go to inspect a GTE for a potential buyer and am saddened to find a car that is barely worth buying at the asking price. I would love to save every one of them, but sometimes the numbers don't make economic sense. It's a balancing act to find the right car, in the right shape, and the right buyer to do the deal. Those who shall not be named think I'm nuts, but I can't help from doing what I do! I just hope I can continue doing what I do without getting jaded.

Yeah Tom from the other side of the world !!! Another beauty saved from the clutches of the barbarians. She looks in good shape already. Get the engine howling and a spruce up and she will be fantastic. Hope she is on the road soon and giving her new owner lots of pleasure.

Hi Guys,

Here's a great shot of two survivors. A PF Coupe and a GTE, all the same color!

I shouldn't take all the credit because I have a customer that is sympathetic to my sensibilities, and willing to join me on this journey. It's been at least 7 months since the new owner has been on this roller coaster ride with me, and luckily he's still smiling! Although he wants to remain anonymous, he is excited to share the resurrection of this car on this website, and I hope to continue to have fun with it!
