Hi Ed,

I was up in CT this weekend with the PF and the "Gray Survivors" photo shoot - and the cars really are the same color! They make a neat duo, and not too many s/n's apart...

Hi Tom:
The picture of the two 250s together is terrific. Did the Pf coupes have that little trouble light too?

Congratulations to Tom and your customer for helping to save another GTE from the travesty that happened to the GTE in California a few months ago!

But thanks and appreciation also is due to Carlo for his empathy and willingness to seek a buyer who would preserve the car in its original state rather than sell it to a breaker who might potentially have paid a higher price.

This is a great outcome from the three parties involved!

Congrats on saving another car Tom! We saw a few at Techno Classica in Essen last week - including Hein Brand's engine :D but he was not present on his stand at the time. Prices seem to be staying firm for GTEs in Europe currently, so hopefully less of them will go down the path of no return...

BTW to all you people west of the Atlantic, a Coop is what you keep chickens in!

Is it more economical to restore two cars at the same time? If so, you might want to look at 330 America 5083. However, beware that the seller has had this car on and off the market for years.

Yeah but that one has some crapped out 330GT motor Tom S. had lying around and thew in there after he sold off the original matching number engine probably to some SWB owner lead to believe by Tom that a 330 America engine used a hotted up 250 GT block.

True. Read the disclaimers. He doesn't seem to trust Tom S. any more than you do...

Though if you asked Tom S., I bet he would tell you exactly what the motor is like...

I can't wait. The car is my weak point and loved the "photo shoot" in the diary. See what huge difference the proper wheels make on the PF Coupe? That gray car used to look almost apologetic on the 15 inch wheels, now it's stunning.
