Wheel refinishing

Post by afwrench »

For those who reside close enough I am willing to recommend "Proformance " in New Rochelle ,NY . They did a super job on my C4 mags.Fast service and the results exceeded my expectations. Talk to either Mario or George 914 654 1010. Mike

Could you explain what they did as far as the restoration process and pics would be worth that thousand words too, also what about turn around time?

Thanks,

Hi Giovanni, My wheels had the typical wear of a driven car. A bit of road rash and some stains ,I think from brake dust. Also had wheel weights of differing types on the outside. They stripped and repainted ,Zinc Chromate primer and "silver" {not sure what the actual color is called} . New valve stems were installed ,mounted new tires and balanced with weights on the inside . Time was 2 weeks. As far as pictures go Tom Y will attest to the fact that I am a bit of a Neanderthal with technology[I do not have a cell phone,no answering machine at my house and only one TV]. I will try to get one of my kids to put a picture up but no gaurantee. Mike

If it wasn't for owning a Ferrari, Mike could be accused of being Amish!
