Sun Distributor
Impressive fix for the Sun Distributor machine! It is interesting that parts (upgraded ones at that) are still being made. I guess there are so many out there that there is still a market. Any chance that you took some video of it in operation? I have read about them, but never seen one in action.
Re: Sun Distributor
Hi Tom,
The maintenance guys in my old TV job would have been impressed that an "A2" actually fixed a piece of gear! Now that I know how to fix them, I'm going to go on a hunt for my very own.
I don't know if exact parts are available, but resistors, capacitors and diodes are available to replace the vacuum tube and bad caps.
I'll see if I can post a video, but I think there are some you tube videos floating around.

Tom, I don't know if you noticed but it appears since your article on the distribuotr machine, it appears Paramount may have sold a few more machines.

Maybe he'll give me a break on one when I'm ready to buy my own!

I understand that Garre will use his to make cotton candy at the Yang/Garre gathering in a few weeks; you might want to pick up a couple of extra flux capacitors. . . .

Since I work on an ocassional DeLorean I actually have Flux Capacitors here!! We'll use the brake lathe for the cotton candy.
