Who is going to Radcliffe?

Post by Tom Wilson »

Who is going to Tom's gathering this weekend? For some reason my wife does not think it would be an appropriate 25th wedding anniversary trip, so I guess I will have to go to Jackson Hole instead. Anybody bringing their GTE's?

We had a great group dinner last night and will convene again at Michael Bayer's house tonight - Zac D and Bill Bowdish flew in from Ca yesterday. I'll take pics tonight.

Tomorrow morning we will load the 500 Mondial on the trailer and head up early - we will caravan up to Baltimore in a Lancia Fulvia Sport, and Bayer's 330GT and C/4.

I'm up at Buddy Obara's place and managed to unbreak his car after I tried to fix it yesterday. It was a comedy of errors.

See you all tomorrow.

What a great time! Great weather, lots of cars, and lots of gear heads! We'll have to get a clicker to count the attendance next year, but we easily exceeded 500 people, and 70-80 cars!

I'll try to get some pictures posted, but I've got to get back to work after being away for a couple days!

Thanks to everyone who helped and participated in a great event!

Tom, we did again!! I'm worn out. Special Thanks to the Admiral and Bryan for bringing the 500 Mondial, Michael and Marie Meehan for helping to put up and pull down the tent, that's a lot of work and one less headache for me. Marie you are so kind to bake those delicious deserts thanks again! It was good finally meeting Kerry Chesbro, it must have been fun to see so many 330s in one place. Thanks to Michael Bayer who had a house full of guys and brought two of his cars up.

I'm not sure how we will top this for next year, but we will. Thanks to everyones participation.

Congratulations to Tom and Richard for another great Party! I think I counted over 120 mostly vintage cars...Richard, you are going to have to rent the place next door next year! Good food, wonderful lectures, fine weather, lots of friends, what more do we need! I was only sorry my C/4 did not make it to join the 4 that did, might have made the biggest C/4 gathering in years! :D

Thank you all for a great time.

Here is a picture of the row of 330 GTs, only missing the one in the shop and Warren Turner's who came later.

And here are 3 of the C/4's (I apologize to whomever I missed). Note the difference in look between painted and regular bumper.

I want to thank Richard and Tom, it was a great event and i finally got to meet Kerry in which I've been bothering for the past year or so, also thanks to Tom and Zac for their help. Without these guys, I would still be saying "does anyone know where this goes"
Unfortunately I had to leave early on Saturday but I'm looking forward to next year.

Thanks to everyone

Well done guys. These meets are a major reason why I like these old bangers. The camaraderie is great and the cars are pretty neat too. Is there some good driving roads around Radcliff? If there is you might organise a drive the day before. Similar to what you guys did with Zac around Oceanside. Do it the day before, then guys can discuss driving issues, swap stories etc the next day.
