A Solution for Tom Kizer; 365 GT/4 18559

Post by Tom Wilson »

250GT just sent me these photos from the 2011 Kitzbueheler Alpenrallye (taken by Peter Singhof) of a 365 GT/4 with an unknown GTE body. This might be the answer for Tom Kizer! He gets to drive a 365 GT/4, he gets to hang with the GTE guys and will never have to worry about Platinum Status again...

On a more serious note, what body modifications, if any, would have to be made to do this? You would certainly have to clear some room in the engine compartment. Any of you guys have the dimensions of a GT/4? I can see flared wheel wells, different fender vents, no bumpers and a passenger door that does not latch too well.

Cool car Tom. I like it and it probably recycled a GTE body that was thrown away after a GTO FAKE was made from the internals. This is a 365GT4 engine in a 365GT4 chassis with custom body. Everything hand made just like back in the 50s in Italy at PF etc. The engine has a custom intake with DOWNDRAFT injectors. Has over 400 HP. (Now I don't know how to attach a photo. Will email it to Tom.)

Here are the pictures John couldn't upload. (John, if you can figure out how to rebuild a Koni shock, you can figure out how to upload a picture!)

Thanks Tom. Note the bonnet (hood) bulges are now gone. David didn't like the look so made shortened trumpets that could fit under a flat hood that he made out of the roof of an XJ Jag !!!!! David is a true renaissance man.
