Sorry - no help on the tire choice. But wanted to point out that that's no reflection in the rear axle picture Tom just posted. It's the unit from my SII Cab, #2105 GT, which happened to be going through the process at the same time as Tom's, at Zac's shop.

There was unmistakable evidence of a cascading failure of an inner axle bearing on my rear end, which looks like it led to lots of steel shrapnel flying around inside the case at a high rate of speed. I had taken it all apart and sourced new bearings, but wanted Zac to set it up properly so we wouldn't be going down the Disaster Trail again. Mine's ready to go back on the car as well, but first, I need to do some brake line bending on my new lines from Classic Tube. Looks like the main line from the tee fitting in front of the driver's footwell, running to the flex hose for the rear axle got "straightened out" somewhere along the line. So I have to carefully re-creat the correct contours.

Tom,

The car looks great, MUCH further ahead than what I saw on our visit. Congratulations! The way things are going you could have it back on the road well before your birthday.
I cannot make Radcliffe this year so take a lot of pictures and post them for me.

Cheers,

Sam

After having and driving all options on my car there is NO doubt the best choice are the Vredestein's. They look correct, drive well, and won't break the bank.
