For those interested the previously mentioned Khakis event at the Lumberyard in Carmel is still happening this year on Saturday afternoon. It is no longer called Khakis but they have a big sign up on US 1 advertising it that I just drove by, Monterey seams to start a day earlier ever year. Off to go check out the pre-historics before the chaos begins.

Hey Tom, sorry to hear that. Is David at the show Tomorrow with the PF Coupe?? You can give him my number if he needs anything. I will be around all day and am staying in a house just at the bottom of the hill in Carmel so I will not be far away. Hope things get better tomorrow
24 hours later, I made it, but don't have my luggage! Hopefully by tomorrow I'll be whole again. RIght now, I'm headed into Monterey for a stiff drink!
Greetings... After finally getting the big yellow taxi back on the road, I'm finding I don't have enough confidence in it as yet to get me there and back-DARN!!!!!!!! A couple of other problems surfaced that have left me wondering and not enough time to get them sorted. Looks like I'll be in a green (with black roof) Mini Clubman. At least I'll have airconditioning. I drove down to the COTA yesterday (average speed 65mph at 35mpg-per the onboard computor) and was really impressed at the quality of cars. It has come a long way. Some very tasty hotrods as well, quite probably down from Reno and Hot August Nights. Tim(somewhat dejected but going to have a good time anyway)
