NOS wiper motor

Post by 330GT »

I just bought a NOS wiper motor as used in the 2HL 330 GTs. I thought I would post a picture for anybody restoring theirs.

As you can see, the body is a gray hammered paint while the rest is natural.

Correct type (6WA?) and specs (150 degree wheel?) - or correct down to the part number... which is...?

Best wishes, Kare

6WA 75561D
12V 25 71

Presumably that last two are the date, 25th week of 1971 for a manufacture date.

Can you confirm that is the correct Lucas number for 330GT? The part number dates to to 1964-65 or so. Date code changed from year/month into year/week sometime around 1969.

No I can't confirm that. The PF body parts manual does not specify the Lucas number.

My car has this one in it:

Since my car was made in 7/66, one made the 20th month of '72 can't be original.

BTW, the new digital cameras are amazing. My new one focuses down to .9" in macro mode. This picture was taken from about 2" away on about a 60 degree angle to the lettering. Then I stretched the picture vertically to make the lettering readable. I don't think I would have been able to read it, given the location. Here is the original picture:
