Halda Speed Pilot parts source

Post by TdF »

Are replacement parts available for Mark III Speed Pilots?
Since the loss of Halda Man, where might one go for parts
or repairs?

With my long time navigator Terry Palmer, I competed in SCCA Pro Rally events for many years. Pro Ralliests used a lot of Halda equipment. We know of two ralliests who collect Haldas and may be able to help. Please mention our names for identification when you contact them.

Hello,
The Halda speedpilot and Halda Twimmaster are two compleet diff things.
for serious Railley's a Tripmaster is necessary the Pilot is a nice part to look at
My man is WILLIE POTJANS in Germany who sells every spare part for those above.
google his name and you have got it, but rather in german his side.

see pics below
Willie speeks some english
The gearwheels are ALL available plus speedpilot part.
at his place

for Carello Greg :
Org Halda stuff from the 50th is hamertone silver , 60Th:hamertone black
hope this help.
I only have a twintrip in my car it should be silver.....
Price twin not under 1000€
Speed pilot below 1000€
both not overhauld.

TdF
welcome on TY,
I am not very good in the historical aspects of the F-cars
there are other here with far more knowledge.
But several TDF's were equiped standard in the dash by the factory see pic below
the best pic was publisched by Graham Gould on page 132 In Modena racing memories.
Here an other TDF missing his halda speed pilot in the dash, they simply closed the gap. its a pity.
If the 41th produced one did have it original.( its only a guess)
I cannot say.
