250 Carpet Snap and Trim Washers

Post by rshim1 »

I am having the trim work done my 250 PF Cab. I am using all original fasteners and need help in locating some of the for the interior. I would like to find some the five prong female nickel plated carpet snaps. I would accept new or originals salvaged from original carpets. I also need some of the rolled edge trim washers used under the panel trim screws.

Mike Dunn used to carry the carpet snaps. He sold the Ferrari half of his business off to http://prproducts.net, so check with them.

Don't know of a source of the nice trim washers.

Greetings Tom.. The ones I have found are about 7/8 inch diameter. I haven't checked mine but the ones pictured are a lot larger. I'll check mine later today. Tim

Greetings... Tom, I finally got to check the snaps on my old carpet and they appear to be the same size. Difference is they have 3 prongs instead of 5. Available in nickel on brass or black on brass. Studs are also available with an assortment of attachments-pop rivet, sheet metal screw, self drilling, or a hole for the fastener of your choice. Still interested? RSHIM1, if you still need some 5 prong ones, contact me OOG as there are still some left in my old carpet. Tim

Yes I am interested. Let me look at mine over the weekend and figure out what we need. Even though we have to buy a bunch, they are still pretty inexpensive, so worth a look. I would be more worried about the 3 prong business vrs. 5 prong if they were being used more often. Most, however, will snap on and never snap off, so should not be a big deal.

Thanks to Tim I now have enough of the original 5 prong carpet sockets and the male snaps to do the carpets in my car. Now if I could get some of the rolled edge trim washers as shown in the photos of my first post that would be greatly appreciated.
