Thanks to Tom Yang for the Monterey Party

Post by DWR46 »

I wanted to extend a special thanks to Tom for his efforts and hospitality at his annual party in Monterey. Sue and I had a great time and met many of the forum members. Tom's 250 GTE was spectacular in its originality. It is hard to believe the car was unmolested for so long. It looked great! As usual, there were way too many things to do and people to meet. But between our work at Laguna and having a car at Pebble, we wore ourselves out having too much fun. Thanks again ,Tom.

Hi Dyke,

It means so much to me to have you and Sue's support what I do, so I really have you two to thank you for coming! I know you, Sue, and Audrey are busy that weekend so I was honored to see you all at the party. Hosting this party was definitely one of my highlights of the weekend because of the connections I saw being made. New friends were introduced to old ones, and we all shared in the enjoyment of old Ferrari ownership.

Hope to see you there next year!

Hi Tom. Let me add my thanks. It was great seeing you again and talking Ferraris. Dyke, sorry I didn't get to meet you in person. I was the one with the 275-330 tool bag (correct smooth grain of course) totally unsuited for 250's. A great weekend with Ferrari and Morgan people. Tim

once again, I had to experience this great party vicariously thru the site; looks like a lot of fun, especially now that you've taken it "uptown" to the Quail. Since we're officially moving from DC to Santa Fe next July, there is a much better chance I will make it next year. I would really like to meet more of the Yangers out there, particularly Dyke and Sue, whose Tech Tips we have had since originally published - still a great resource!

well, seeing the cubic yards of stuff that Mark Dempsey can get into a Queen Mother, I'd say that all of us (me, spouse, 2 boys and my parents) w/ the 500 Mondial towed behind could fit. Oh, and then the Alfa in boxes.

Congrats on the decision to move Bryan, should be a good change of pace from DC. If you can please send pics of the Mondial on a Uhaul rented trailer in tow behind the family truckster heading cross country it would be greatly appreciated.
