Under the package shelf under the rear window.

You have to remove the rear seats and bolster, then the rear seat back to remove the package shelf. Note, there are three studs from the package shelf that are accessed from the trunk.

Kerry, thanks saves time searching. Looks like the float sank due to the goop in today's gas. Jim

Jim: I was going to tell you that it was under the parcel shelf, but then I did not trust my 40 year old memory of being in there on a 330. So I started to look in the Body parts book and it did not help at all, so I did not reply knowing somebody else would have more recent knowledge. As to sunk floats, use Ford Model A floats from Mike's Ford Parts (706-652-3866). Part # A9313B. You can slip two of them right on to the original wire stalk. About $4.45 each. They are the new plastic material and work perfectly.

Dyke, thanks for the info, there is a vintage Ford store here locally and will check stock. Otherwise will call Mikes. Jim

Mikes floats are on the way, easy fix. When putting the parcel shelf back in place looks like the black trim under the rear quarter windows must come out in order to reinstall the shelf. How are these held in place? Jim

Hi JIm,

They should be held in place with clips, so an upward motion will get the trim piece to come off.
