330 GT 2+2 #8379

Post by TKO »

Hi Guys,

I thought I would introduce myself. I am the proud new owner/caretaker of GT 2+2 #8379. Original California car, Blue Scuro with optional power windows. Lovely Gentleman's GT ... I now know what you all have known for some time now :). I'm just going to do a few small projects for now and drive her. I'm sure I'll have many questions for you all going forward as I'll get to know 'Old Blue'. Happy to be here ...

All the best,

Tom

Well done!
I test drove your car about 18 months ago, a private party owned it at the time. I ended up buying a GTC. PM me if your interested in the details or information I was given about the car...don't worry, nothing bad.

"I'm just going to do a few small projects for now"

Uh, oh. Now you've done it. That's the first sign of FRD - "Ferrari Restoration Syndrome", where in small projects multiply into an endless string of "while I'm doing Project A I might as well do B. And C and D", etc. There is no known cure...

Car looks fab in that color. The 2nd photo would make a great desktop background...

Todd, you have me all figured out. I wanted to straighten the grille so I removed the bumper and took the grille out. Once the grille was out, I was like, wow, those horns are really messed up. Then I was like well the radiator overflow canister could really use some cleaning. Then the radiator fans, etc. etc. ....

Jumprun, I would love to learn anything you know about the car. Unfortunately I guess I'm too new for private messages :(.

Tom, here's my email;

tmartinez@martinezandturek.com

Email me for my phone number if you want to talk. I have about 20 pictures of your car before the work was done, similar to what's on Kerry's site. I may also have info that has not been passed on to you as well as a contact info to another party that could provide additional info. I would also be interested in what your initial impressions of ownership of this car are, to compare to mine.

Hi Tom,

Welcome to the website. Lot's of owners that wrench on their own cars with guidance from people who do it for a living and don't mind sharing with others. This support is what makes this portion of the market enjoyable. Have fun!

Great looking car Tom! What part of the world are you in? You may be able to meet up with some of the other owners on the site as they exercise their cars.
