Rear suspension bump stops

Post by william »

Series II GTE

can anyone post photos of the rear leaf spring bump stops?

Not the two on the frame center of the wheels. (4 total).

Thank you!

Hope this helps. It's a Lusso, but should be the same as the GTE.

Thanks John and Cory,

I'm missing the bump stop to the rear of the car.

it looks like it must be the tringle shape rebound I'm missing.

John, in your photo.. I'm guessing that is the order of the rebounds.. I don't have my car on a lift right now. But last night I crawed under it and could not see a support above the front of the leaf spring to bolt the smaller rebound... any thoughts series II guys?

Ciao!

Here are some more photos with the things in place. These pictures show the big "donuts". I am not sure where the little donuts shown on the cardboard (in my previous post) go.

I have the two big donuts on each side that rebound on the axle by the axle straps.

Anyone know if the GTE uses the smaller donut?

headed to Padova in two weeks..I'll get the rear tringale bumpers.

Great photos John!

John,
Just curious, I have never seen the underside of a PF coupe. What is the purpose of the cross membering bolted to the back pinion gear case? Support against tourque? Looks like a little overkill from Ferrari.
Thanks

Hi Cory, this is the underside of a Lusso. The system is called Watts linkage which is an extra measure to keep the axle firmly planted. Ferrari put this on the GTO as well.

William, I think I figured out where the little donuts go. See arrow. I don't have a better picture. Each bumper is attached by one bolt and one stud.
