Competent engine builder for 250 engine in Germany

Post by chris »

Dear All,

as I am fairly new to this forum as someone posting something (if not new as a reader) I would like to introduce myself before seeking your advice. My name is Christopher and I am from Germany and in the process of rebuilding a 250 GTE.I have done severall cars by now but it is my first rebuild of a Ferrari. I am nearly finished with the body and allready overhauled some of the mechanicaL parts. I am now looking for an engine expert for the 250 GTE engine members from Germany would recommend in Germany or in countries not to far off.

Any recommendations are more then welcommend.

Chris, I just sent you a PM with Cornelius's email. I think he's in Holland, but knows a great deal about these cars. steve

Here now some pictures. The one completed is off the car before dismantling. The car is 4701 and was delivered new to France to a Monsieur Roland Digonnet. It was owned by him and his Family until purchased by the person/dealer I aquired it from. It was running but rough and the bodywork was in unrestored condition. It has done overall 90.000Km and was in very original condition (matching numbers, very good interior, chrome, etc.). The Body is meanwhile perfect and I am working on the mechanical parts. I aim at having it bodily and mechanical perfect but keeping the nice patina with all exterieur fittings as well as the interior. Hope you like it.
