330 trunk carpet/material

Post by enio45 »

I have a client that wants me to redo his trunk of his 330 GTC car.

Anyone have experience in redoing the trunk - getting the material etc.

it seems to be what is in the trunk now is orig to the car, square type weave....but looks tired

Looking for advise please. I have a great upholstery guy that does tons of muscle car stuff for me
but is not familiar with the Ferrari world.

thanks in advance

Henk at HVL in The Netherlands. Took 2 linear meters (2 meters wide) for my trunk (2+2). Identical to original square weave carpet.

I just received some parts from the guys at 'Italian Car Parts' in West Linn, Oregon and within the catalogue that came with my order I noticed that they offer carpet & trunk carpet sets. It may be worth a look ... www.italiancarparts.com & apparently they are found by clicking on 'Floor Mats' (or 503-655-9811).

I can't speak to the makeup of the carpetimg material & style myself but it may be worth a shot as everything that I received was 100% spot on and they were great to deal with.

Ordered the trunk material from Henk.....

Excellent - exact material - also had the binding

Shipping gets pricey, but we got the right stuff and will get going on trunk area to freshen up!

About twelve years ago my trunk carpet was not warn but the black had faded.

So I spray painted it. Rattle can black. Has looked perfect ever since.

In fact, I sprayed every surface in the trunk with the same paint except
that I did mask off the car color decal.

Ask Kerry if you don't believe me.

Lowell - i did the same to my gt car trunk material.....came out great as well - just a light dusting is required, rub it down slightly
to take off the crisp feels of the dry paint and it looks amazing.

I you use the right Krylon paint, you don't have to do anything but paint.
