GT 330 floor panels
It looks like some unskilled persons tried to jack up my GT 330 at the floor panels. To bring the big dent back in shape I need to reinforce the resin, but I do not know what type of resin Pininfarina used. Is it poyester resin or did they use epoxy resin. I need to know because the 2 different resins are not matching.

Re: GT 330 floor panels
When you find out , pls post as I have a small area when someone did the same thing.I think the mid 60s corvettes used a 2 part epoxy resin with the fiberglass so likely thats what Ferrari used. Bondo also makes "fiberglass resin". here is a pic of the bottom of my console---- is this the color and texture of what you are trying to match?

Re: GT 330 floor panels
After some research I could find out :
The material they used for the floor panels seems to be Epoxy resin. Color is more yellow than Polyester. Also when cutting or grinding Epoxy it does not smell. Polyester smells like Styrol.I grinded my floor panel to smoothen it - no smell.
Epoxy has a higher adhesive power. The experts from the boat yards advise for repairs: Epoxy should be repaired with Epoxy. Polyester resin should be repaired also with Epoxy because of better adhesion. So when using Epoxy for floor panel repair we are on the safe side.
Michael, I hope this is helpful for you.
