Grey and Purple Truck

Post by Art S. »

Tom,

Congratulations on buying the truck. When I headed back to work, I wasn't sure whether or not you would buy it considering the issues we had found. I'm glad you were able to work out a deal and I hope it serves you well.

Regards,

Hi Art,

No truck is going to be perfect, but this one is going to serve my purposes fine! With the Northeast salt, the most important thing is to find a truck without a rusty frame.

Walt agreed to replace the master cylinder, and the pinion seal for no extra charge, so I should have a truck that will need very little when I go to pick it up. It will probably be ready by next Tuesday.

Thanks again Art!

purple and green?
works for me!
but that cap is just too ugly!

NRA Sticker?
sounds like stereotyping to me-
what do you have to wear a baseball cap
and drive like an idot too?

My rustbucket truck (Or rust trucket, as I prefer to call it) came pre-equipped with three american flag stickers.

I decided to remove two, just to keep it "tasteful".

Hi Fest,

GREY and purple!

The NRA sticker seemed like an amusing option that came with my truck, and I'm sorry if I somehow have offended you! Besides, it's not pickup truck drivers who drive like idiots, it's the SUV owners! (joke! no flames please.)

no offense

Post by fest »

hey Tom
no offense taken...
I was joking with you too!

I drive a truck every day
(like an idiot at times, admittedly
as I AM from MASS)

the truck has come in way handy...
only draw back is when your
freinds and relatives
need something moved

the payoff is when you get the last laugh
after they have ridiculed your truck
and then find out the stuff they want moved
wont fit in their 'politically correct' econobox
and they have to ask for your help

MINVANS are the scourge of the highways BTW
(you will have one of those soon enough LOL)
not the SUV

Hi Fest,

Don't laugh, but I think minvans are the best in package design for hauling stuff. I feel that people buy SUVs because they're cooler to own than a minivan, but they can't haul nearly as much stuff as a Grand Voyager, or Astro Van. The argument that they need 4WD is crap because they hardly ever put them in 4WD, and most of them them these days are AWD which isn't even a real 4WD!

For that matter, a well designed 4 door sedan will hold just as much, if not more than some SUVs. It's all about ego!

Tom,

I agree that minivans are practical, but Fest is right, they are still the scourge of the highways!

By the way, your truck was on the lift in the shop yesterday. Should be ready soon!

Trucks are WAY cooler than SUV's.

Congratulations Tom.

(When can we expect to see a 40-ton Peterbilt in your driveway?) :D
