Fuel Sending Unit

Has anyone taken a resistance reads of this thru the range? Thanks.

I have had mine rebuilt and not yet installed. I can take readings and send them to you.How tall is the Lusso tank?

Full 92 ohms, empty 6 and mid level 48 ohms.

Thanks Bob. After cleaning things well with acetone I am reading about 25-95 ohms. Then the lever shorts out to the light bulb lead.

FYI, many of the floats were cork, and they do not hold up well with the new gas. Most of the old cork floats break down absorb gas and sink; this may then look like a bad sensor element. Check both when the sensor is out of the tank. A modern plastic float from later cars can be slipped into the wire arm and they last much longer. Jim
