330 GTC lower door weatherstrip

Post by enio45 »

Looking for some assistance on the lower door weatherstrip or not ......

I have seen both ways on gtc (not sure what is correct) but on the lower edge of the gtc door, a weather strip might exist from the
door wedge around the bottom of the door. Anyone have knowledge of this and what might be the correct Cicogiani part number for this -
IF it is an orig door weatherstrip?

Appreciate the advise and guidance

My car (11157) still has this weather seal in place, just as you describe.
It's got a "J" profile with three notches cut into the bottom edge to allow for the door drains. It's almost rock hard on my car and considering my car is unrestored, it's probably original.

Thanks for the reply - do you think i can get a picture of that profile?

Will have to see if i can find it on Cicogiani web site or send them the picture and they can match it - I'm sure.

As you can see below the "J" profile which is about .8" on the long leg, .5" on the short leg and .4" thick overall.
Also notice the composite construction which seems to be a softer inner core sheathed in a thin harder layer. It seems a bit complex for it's purpose.
