light knob removal

Post by Melchior »

Hi,

does anybody know how to remove the black plastic knob of the light switch? I removed the little grub screw but the know resists any attempt to get it off. What does the intake of the plastic knob look like? Is it a screw or just a bolt? Is there a special trick or something?

Martin, have you tried unscrewing the knob? There should be a threaded brass insert inside the plastic knob.

Hello all,

Thank you very much for the information.

I tried to upload the picture but it does not work. Around the knob there is a green plastic ring which obviously should light when lights are turned on - unfortunately it does not now. It has the pull/turn mechanism. My car is 250@GTE #3631.

I am happy to send the pic of the switch to an emailadress if you name one.

Regarrds,

Hi Guys,

You should be able to post pictures again. Sorry about the delay. I may know how to fix a Ferrari, but running a SQL server, and upgrading software to it is not my strong suit!

For those folowed this thread.

Martin send me this pic if his light switch.

The other pic showed a Lancia flaminia switch a car that was also build during the 250 GTE year.

will test now if uploading of foto´s is possible again.
