PF Coupe/Cab? Dash Drawing

Post by 330GT »

RM is auctioning off a owners pouch and manuals for a PF Coupe. The front has S/N 1781 written on it.

Anyway, one of the pictures in the auction is a drawing of the dash layout with the controls numbered and descriptions in both Italian and English.

With some editing, here is a better version for use on the road.

Ferrari never made an owner's manual for the PF Coupe/Cab. The cars were delivered with one written early in the 250 GT model production that covered Boana, TDF, and PF models. The parts book section covered inside plug engines.

The next owner's manual that Ferrari wrote was for the 250GTE, which was probably delivered with PF Coupes once it was available.

So I was quite surprised to see this dash layout drawing.

Yes, and it's correctly showing the Series II dash layout.

More editing to cleanup the background and fixed the English for #14, fog lights.

Chris Coios sent me pictures of the series 1 dash and a clearer series 2 dash than I have.

Here is the series 1 dash layout.
Series1Dash.jpg
Not being familiar with a series 1 car, the differences see are:
1. Windshield washer pump was moved from under the dash to in the dash.
2. The heater and defroster fan controls were moved from the dash to the heater box.
3. The overheating warning light is gone in the series 2.

I've noticed that the clock is always in the bottom quadrants, but sometimes it's on the right and sometimes it's on the left. I have also seen cars with no clocks but an ammeter instead.

Hello ,

Strange that in this drawing/ picture that number 14&17 seams to have the same function (DEFROSTER).

Is there may be an mistake in this overview ?

Yes, that was an error. #14 should have been fog lights. I replaced the drawing in the previous post with a corrected one.
