fiamm road master horn

Hi looking for some help trouble shooting my roadmaster air compressor it was working fine when i tested it on a battrey to see if it worked before i painted it and it was fine. After painting and repairing the wire that comes out the side of it i tested it on the battry agian and it does not work anymore ive had it apart now and cleaned it new oil ect but no luck any help would be appreciated

Make sure that the motor has power coming to it. If it does, then it's possible that the brushes are parked on a dead spot on the collectors. Take the cap off and spin the armature with your fingers, then try again. But before all this make sure the unit gets power; there are no disconnections, etc. Good luck.

I agree with John, See if you can take the top cap off and turn the motor by hand. Sometimes it needs a little help to get spinning again. If you find it getting stuck again, you may have to take the motor apart and clean the commutator.

Do not forget to add a small drop of oil now and then to keep the bearings happy.

What oil do you recommend?

Actually, any light weight oil like 3-in-one.
