Howdy!

Post by Supernaut »

New member, just wanted to introduce myself and say hello.

Bought a 512 BBi (44759) about a year ago that was in the middle of restoration. Over the past year I've inventoried what is there, what I need, and started a few tasks. At this rate, however, it still won't be driving for quite a while! (If anyone has a spare water pump, please let me know)

I offer some information I just ran across while searching craigslist for "lathe" info - imagine my surprise when I saw a 330 crankshaft for sale. I have nothing to do with the seller, but seeing the ad reminded me of the awesome community here:

I've been watching Tom's videos and reading the blog for years, very inspiring! When I ponder something like my rear bonnet grills are missing, I just think of how "easy" they must be to make, according to the blog posts for similar metalwork ;)
