letters on heater fan - 250 GTE Series II

Post by Melchior »

Hi,

I am to restore the heater fan of my 250 GTE (series II from 1962) and want to replicate the painted letters of the stamp after the fresh paint job. When removing the oily dust the letters partly disappeared and I need to know how the whole stamp looks like. Does anybody know or even have a helpful picture?

Thank you and best regards,

Martin

I found the solution in an Alfa forum as these cars also used Becme fan motors. The second stamp shows the date of production! In case of my car 4 for April makes sense according to the production date of #3631 and the missing 2 digits obviously are 62. When looking thoroughly at my fan housing you can slightly see the faded hyphen in the lower stamp, so I have no doubt that [4 - 62] is correct.
