Tips & Tricks for the paintjob

The body of my GTE will soon be ready for the paint job. I have read a lot here in the forum but do not want to miss out asking you for tips & tricks what to take care of when painting the car. This question is about both, body color and black satin finish for the engine bay.

Any experience and knowledge is welcome to avoid mistakes - thank you.

Semi gloss black on the inside of the trunk too. Inside of the fuel filler door is body color.

also, the underside of the hood is painted semigloss black, but is closer to mat than gloss. That holds true for much of the semigloss black on the car.
