Sorry if this is too far off topic, but this product looks too cool. Do you know anybody who has one? What do they think of it?

Similar to the CarCoon that has been marketed in England for many years. I've never had personal experience with them, but I have heard many reports from owners who swear by them.
They are a bit cumbersome to use and so probably are better used in situations where the car will not be used for a while. They apparently do an excellent job of keeping the car clean and rodent free.

I've had my cars in storage this winter and part of the deal was to put the cars in Carcoons, which are very similar.
In five months they have stayed in excellent condition and very clean, There are two fans at one end that blow air constantly into the Carcoon to keep it inflated and these have foam air filters on them. It is important to make sure these are in place or dust gets blown into the Carcoon.
They are quite difficult to use. You must drive the car onto the base and then the clear plastic part (the top and sides) needs to be draped over the car and then zipped up. Even with two people it is difficult not to drag the plastic over the car's roof. There is another type available in the UK that has a framework to support the plastic - you just drive the car into it and zip up the entry door, rather like a small see-thru blow-up single-car garage. If I was going to but one I might consider this as a betetr alternative.
Eitehr way I can recommend these for long term storage.

I actually know the guy who has the patent on and manufactures the carcapsule. They are very effective in eliminating moisture, dust, etc from around the car. Especially nice for a freshly detailed car. But, I always thought that unless you had room to spare in your garage (I don't), that they were a bit too awkward.
I stopped by an indian casino a while back and they had a mustang outside in a carcoon type enclosure. It was in a pretty dusty climate, so it did a good job of keeping the car looking nice on display outside. It also kept onlookers from actually touching the car which was a bonus. (for the casino) Personally I thought that the packing was cooler than the product in that instance.
Its a pretty cool idea, but my cars get dirty outside, not sitting in the garage. I think that the carcoon takes a certain type of owner, who doesn't need instant access to their car.
